A run down cottage was transformed into a contemporary home creating a strong relationship of modern and traditional without sacrificing either. The historic building fabric was retained or renovated contrasted by clean architectural detailing to create a fine balance. Supporting an inner city lifestyle, the house allows the owner the flexibility to have either two separate two bedroom apartments per level, or one four-bedroom home connecting the two levels with some minor alterations only. On a very small block (235m2) the design even allows parking for two cars parking spaces as well as private decks for each apartment.
